The writers group meets at 2.00pm on the 2nd Friday of the month at Kirby Muxloe Community Library and covers a wide range of interests: poetry, short stories, novels, writing for children, memoir and autobiography.
Members lead sessions on points that interest them, or they have knowledge of, but the focus is to listen to pieces either regarding personal projects, or prompts suggested by the group.
There is a very collaborative feel and great enthusiasm for developing skills. Importantly, we have a lot of fun.
We are always looking for new ways to improve and enliven our writing and fortunately there is no shortage of ideas – or people to guide us.
