Our walks are combined with learning about the history of the area, so we explore and learn as we walk. Recent walks have included Melton Mowbray, Leicester and Swannington Railway, Quorn and Foxton Locks.
This group meets on the last Wednesday of the month, usually at 9.45 for a 10 a.m. start. It will combine walking for 2 - 2.5 hours with learning about the local history of the area usually ending up at a pub at the end.
Members are encouraged to take turns at organising a walk and researching the local history of the area.
Group members dogs are welcome to join walks provided that they are kept on a lead and under close control for the duration of the walk.
